Backend Engineer (Go / Python / Rust)
About the role
You build the core of our platforms.
You design high-performance, resilient distributed systems capable of handling millions of requests and scaling seamlessly as our products grow.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop robust backend APIs using REST and gRPC.
Design modular, scalable, and maintainable backend architectures.
Develop backend services using Go, Python, or Rust, depending on project requirements.
Build highly available and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
Optimize application performance, latency, and resource utilization.
Design data models and optimize both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Implement event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, and RabbitMQ.
Ensure code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with Frontend, DevOps, Data Engineering, and AI teams.
Contribute to architecture design, technical strategy, and key engineering decisions.
What we're looking for
You are proficient in at least one backend programming language (Go, Python, or Rust) and have experience building high-performance services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Gin, Fiber, or Axum, while leveraging communication protocols including REST and gRPC.
You have solid experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch with a strong focus on data modeling, query optimization, caching strategies, and overall system performance.
You are comfortable working in cloud environments (GCP or AWS) and are experienced with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. You also apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform.
You have a strong understanding of modern software architecture principles, including Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, CQRS, Microservices, Clean Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). You know how to design scalable, resilient, and maintainable backend platforms capable of supporting mission-critical applications.
